Dropped the Xperia 1 V in the sink. Tried drying it out for days… still dead. So that’s the end of the Sony daily.
No more pdx234 kernel, ReSuki or microG Installer work for now. Was fun while it lasted.
Moving to a Pixel with GrapheneOS. Got the 10 Pro coming in a few days.
Just want something solid for privacy without constant device-specific patching.
Might still tinker with kernels later (I may get another 1 V in future), but for now this chapter’s closed.

I have left here the last Stable Derpfest ROM (with microG) I worked on for those I promised it to.
I had only tested this updating from crDroid ROM, never from a full wipe.
Derpfest ROM
ROM: DerpFest-v16.2-20260613-pdx234-Community-Stable.zip
boot: boot.img
dtbo: dtbo.img
recovery: recovery.img
vendor_boot: vendor_boot.img

At least there is still LineageOS but DerpFest was really an amazing ROM.
If you want I got a dead Xperia 1 V that died in the water... Yeaaah with two phone dead the same way I'm not sure if this is helpful if I send it over to you.
I really wanted to take a Xperia just because it's the last powerful device WITH an SD card slot, when my old phone died the only thing I had left was the SD card so it was important for me to keep this.
Good luck for the future.
Both crDroid 12.11 and Derpfest 16.2 are really solid ROMs for now.
I still have the Xperia in rice and living in hope.
I will keep my eye out on eBay, they are getting cheaper second-hand.
I've just blown $800 on a new SSD, so maybe a couple of months before I can justify getting another.
Let me know how you get on with it 😁
or Try ReSuki-Ultima here: https://spacealtctrl.net/blog/ultima
Type 'su' - enter, then type either 'teefix' or 'fixtee' - enter.
The fix may well still be on the last crDroid ROM.
Make sure you have a working keybox before you do this! Then restart. I may have left fix in there. I think I remember getting 'X' to sign in on v12.11 - Please let me know if this works for you.
